Had you asked me about college one week ago you would have gotten a response like this, "Yeah, I'm going to the U. I have no idea where I'll be staying or how I'm going to pay for it, but I am going."
The feeling of not knowing what is going to happen or how things are going to work out is an awful one. I was so nervous and scared about how in the world this was all going to work out but today, I am feeling a huge burden being lifted from my shoulders. Today I had a job interview up at the U for a tutoring program. Yesterday I recieved a letter informing me that I got the Regents Scholarship. On top of that I have recieved a scholarship for being in the top ten percent of my class, a pell grant, federal work study, and a housing stipend. The housing stipend will cover the cost of my room for the year which I just reserved this week. I am flying. I have enough money in scholarships and grants to pay for my entire first year of school, which is estimated to cost $14,800. My life has become so much easier now that I know I will be able to pay for my schooling without having to borrow anything. If there is anything I can say to kids everywhere it is to get the best grades you can in school. Take the ACT as many times as you can to get the highest score you can. Life is so much easier when you know you've done all you can and now someone else will be paying for your schooling.
Now I am looking forward to August 18th when my college journey will begin and I will move into my new room on Officers Circle.

Spiders...
About a week ago I awoke to find a cluster of five spiderbites on the back of my thigh. A spider, and maybe some of its itsy bitsy friends had enjoyed a feast on me in the middle of the night and I did NOT appreciate it. It had entered my room uninvited and then proceeded to join me in my bed. I was furious and wanted that thing dead. So I prepared a massacre on spiders throughout my bedroom. I had to prep first though and so I put all my pillows, blankets, clothes, and other various items in my closet. With the help of my father, I then executed all spiders in the vicinity using an indoor fogger. I had triumphed. There were no longer any spiders in my room. However I now have a bigger problem on my hands,
Clean up.
Everything in my closet exploded out and a twister ran through my room. It made a huge mess and now I am left with the clean up. All because an eight-legged creature crawled into bed with me.

Insomnia Sucks
For the past few days I have not been sleeping well. I don't know why but I have been lying awake until 2,3, or 4 in the morning. I will stare and stare at my ceiling or the cup on my nightstand and the next thing I know it has been an hour or two. I want to sleep!

My Favorite Radio Station
This year has been a great one for me. I have won so many things on the radio and amazingly, all from the same station. Mix 107.9 is my favorite station! I am even facebook friends with DJ Jared. He is awesome!
I've won tickets to Disney on Ice, SickPuppies, Earthfest and now, Harry Potter 7.2.

I am ADDICTED.
So... for the past few days I have been watching this show. It is a really interesting show to watch that I have become kind of addicted to in the past two days. I watched 12 episodes already and can't wait to find out who is still going to be there in the end. So let me tell you now that I am addicted and currently have no interest in quitting.
So don't laugh at me, but as of right now I am in love with this show and I can't wait to see Ashley fall in love. I used to see this show and think 'Ick. Drama. I do not want to watch anything like that, it looks so stupid' and now, here I am, totally into the show. I'll post again soon. :)
Ashley is such a cute girl and I can't wait to see who she ends up with. My favorite guy from the beginning was J.P. (Jordan Paul) He is so sweet and is really cute.

Stadium of Fire 2011
For the past few days I was volunteering for the Stadium of Fire at LaVell Edwards Stadium wherein Brad Paisley and David Archuleta were performing. I made some great new friends and had some amazing experiences. I feel like telling you about some of them, so here it is.
On friday, the art crew (my group) were helping out the set guys so we could do our job, and I met a couple guys from Tennessee. They were really cool and had sweet accents. That night, around 11, David Archuleta got up onstage to do a sound check/rehearsal. The two guys from Tennessee and some of the crew sat right up on the front row to watch the rehearsal and when I saw David I waved at him. On of the guys on the crew with me, Jordan, said "don't wave, he's not gonna wave back." And guess what? He waved back. Feeling that 'haha i was right and just got a wave from David Archuleta' feeling, I did an extreme happy dance in my seat. David saw it and I noticed him laughing. Two seconds later, he was walking to the edge of the stage. I couldn't hold back and I made a run for it. I shook his hand and introduced myself, just before everyone else joined me to say hello. After that nice visit, we all sat down and watched David sing. After every song he thanked us, and during "A Little Too Not Over You" he pointed straight at me. He also said after one of his songs, "Thanks guys, this is nice its, like, intimate but in a really, huge place." Seriously, it was the best night of my life.
Then on saturday we worked all day in the hot sun and that night I high fived David as he exited the stage and I got some really good pictures of Brad Paisley.

It was overall a very good experience, and now, I am super sore and tired but have loved looking back and cannot wait to do it all again next year!
